nummy ice!

this winter, keegan is finally deciding that he likes snow. up until the past few weeks, he really didn't want much to do with it--toddler indifference i guess. but the past few weeks he has really gotten into it--literally! when i pick him up in the afternoons, he likes to walk through the snow. when he gets out of the car, he walks in the snow and pretends the wind blew him too hard so he falls in the snow. he giggles, freaks because the snow is on him, yells because his pants are wet...and that's the end of the snow!

yesterday was no different...in the beginning. we left our sitter's house, walked down the stairs, and just like any other day keegan walked in the snow. he slipped down the little mound and got snow on his hands. i walked around to the other side of the car to open the door, and he came around a few seconds later, sucking the snow off his hands. "mmmmmm mommy!" i went to pick him up, but he ran back for another handful of snow! the third time he went back for more, i went after him, both of us laughing the whole time. he had snow up to his knees, as well as a handful in his little fingers! i picked him up, put him in the carseat, and tried to buckle him in. this is where i lost it. he started EATING the snow off his pants, like it was the greatest meal he'd ever eaten. "nummy mommy, ice!" i couldn't help myself...that was the funniest thing he'd done in a long time. and we laughed about nummy ice all the way home!
